Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main) will be the test for the students who have qualified class 12th or equvivalent. Passing the entrance exams of JEE will be the criteria of admission to the Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, Other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions.
Students have to take the tests of JEE advanced if he/she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate
programmes offered by the IITs. The Paper-1 (B. E./B. Tech.) of JEE (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced),

The States of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Nagaland and Odisha have joined JEE (Main) system. Therefore, the students aspiring admission to the institutions in these states, which were earlier admitting based on their State Level Examination, are also advised to fill application form online in the JEE (Main) - 2014, the link is given below..
