The massive open online course(mooc) platform founded by Massachusettes Institue of Technology(MIT) and Harvard University in May 2012 to provide online university level courses. More than 2.5 lakh indians have registered for courses on edX. This number makes Indians the second largest community next to Americans to register for these courses, Anath Agarwal, an indian american who has been teaching electornic course in MIT for 26 years, edX president quotes the findings. edX is leading online course by the premier Institute and it has some of the finest professors to provide the course.
