Seychelles, officially the Republic of Seychelles, received Independence on 29th June 1976 from Britain, is an 155-island country. It is spanning an archipelago in the Indian Ocean. Victoria is capital of Seychelles. The country Seychelles located 1,500 kilometres east of mainland of Southeast Africa and the island of Madagascar lies in the southwest of the Seychelles.
Country Currency called Seychellois rupee and it belongs to the Continent Africa. According to the World Bank Seychelles has population almost 87,785 (2012).


The Government system is Unitary state and Presidential system. It is Republic country with Representative democracy. Seychelles is part of the Indian Ocean Commission (IOC), La Francophonie and the Commonwealth of Nations.
Its Official languages are French, English and Seychellois Creole. The Vernacular languages are Seychellois Creole.

In 1971, with the establishment of the "Seychelles International Airport", tourism emerged as a significant industry, essentially dividing the total economy into two areas as plantations and tourism. The tourism sector paid better, and the plantation economy is complimentary and can expand. The plantation sector of the economy have declined in prominence, and tourism became the primary economy industry of Seychelles. The main natural resources of the Seychelles are cinnamon, fish, copra,  salt,  coconuts and iron.

The president of Nauru, has been ranked the Seychelles as the ninth most endangered nation due to flooding from climate effect. In January 2013, the country declared a state of emergency on account of the tropical cyclone Felleng, the cyclone had  caused torrential rain, and flooding also landslides destroyed hundreds of houses.
