Mr. Nabam Tuki a Veteran Congress leader today was sworn-in as the 8th Chief Minister of the State for the second consecutive term. Governor Lt Gen (Retd) Nirbhay Sharma administered the oath of office and secrecy to Tuki in an impressive function held at Darbar Hall of Raj Bhavan in Itanagar. The newly-elected Congress MLAs, Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Mukut Mithi, AICC general secretary (in charge of Arunachal) Luzhino Faleiro and high ranking government officials were present in the ceremony.


"land of the dawn-lit mountains" this is the literal meaning of Arunachal Pradesh also it "Orchid State of India" or the Paradise of the Botanists Pradesh of India. It has forest covered area largest in India than comes Madhya Pradesh.

Unicameral Legislature with 60 seats.
The native people of the state trace their origins from the Tibeto-Burman people. It is Located in northeast India. Arunachal Pradesh borders the states of Assam and Nagaland to the south, and shares international borders with Bhutan in the west, Myanmar in the east and the People's Republic of China in the north.
